[QUOTE=Benchmark Designs Inc.;1165660]Obviously I'm in the "skid" camp. It's highly effective, easy to install, doesn't risk warranty issues or check engine lights. Relocating is way more involved and some of the kits require cutting, drilling into the tub and more permanent mods. A skid is a simple 10 minute bolt-on installation.

Odds are, if you catch your skid on an obstacle, you'll catch your rear axle, so relocating doesn't necessarily solve that issue. The skid plate also provides some additional protection for the rear driveshaft.

For anyone interested in ordering, we have tons in stock and ready to ship.

Thanks!

John how much does your bracket weigh and how much lower does it hang down than without?

I went with Benchmark mainly due to the added driveshaft protection

I gotta tell ya, I have been thinking about this a lot. I am leaning toward the Benchmark route because I am looking to use the cool tech exhaust system. The benchmark skid looks like it will provide some collateral protection to the muffler. Now, as for relocating, I would lean toward the Kilby as I have not yet developed the intestinal fortitude to drill into my body more than the one hole for the TF tracbar bracket and I am still recovering from that experience. As always come back with your choice and pictures.

Can't emphasize these points enough. There have been many times the evap skid saved my rear driveshaft and exhaust.

Another thing, especially on the 4 doors, there is still plenty of room to relocate a muffler under the body even with the evap canister still in place.

I love all this "this is the right answer" stuff..... both ways are viable options... if you aren't hanging on rocks all the time there is no need to relocate

There are few options available

Die Tech to relocate it
Bench Mark Designs to protect it

there are other products too like rockhard, Kilby, etc

so which one should I go for?
I did a lot of research and I just had Mel at Off Road Evolution change mine to Woods and it is
a better fix then a skid.......About the same price Too and you dont have to worry at all. Done.
Good Luck.
