Default Ever Break This???

Its the boot on the Draglink under the passenger side. I just noticed it today when I was under the jeep. Not sure how long I have been driving like this.

Think warranty will cover it? How long do you think I can drive like this?

If it is under warranty, they should cover it.

Looks like a drivers side pic.

Ooops ya your right. It is drivers.

I hope warranty will cover it. Just dont want them to see my 2.5" lift and 35s and try to void it. Although Im not sure if my lift and tires have anything to do with this failing...

12k on mine when the boot went. My dealer who has been great with everything else so far wouldn't replace it under warranty because they thought it looked like it could have happened when we installed the lift. $109 part and about 30 minutes of labor so it wasn't too bad.

Just realized it was your driver side so it will be even cheaper since you don't need the drag link. .

Is it just something you bolt on? What part would I be buying exactly?

Go to AutoZone or the like and get Moog ES3624. Much beefier and its greasable, and should be less than $30.

It really is a bolt on part. Take of the nut holding the end on and then loosen the bolt on the adjusting threaded clamp and screw the old one off and then reverse the process for the new one. Just pay close attention to how far the stock one was threaded and match it as close as possible. You will know if its right if your steering wheel stays centered. If for some reason the wheel doesn't stay centered you can adjust it by simply turning the clamp by loosening both bolts on the clamp.

Thanks. Do you know how long I can drive like this for? Just want to know if I need to hurry in to the dealer for the part or worry about it in a few weeks when I have time off from work
