Default EVO Armor Rock Sliders - Do They function as a Step?

I am looking for a rock rail/slider that functions as a step. I realize the EVO rail is not marketed as a step but does it function as a step? Replies from those who have them will be appreciated. Its hard to tell from the pictures. Those things look stout. My other option is the Lod.

EVO SHIT IS TIGHT.... one could use it as a step!! But LOD'S definitely could be used as a step! Are you worry about for the women or yourself? Cause IMO IF IT'S THE LADIES.....GO LOD!

i agree. the EVO's are usable as a step, although you may want some kind of protection (like EVO skins) to keep your muddy/dirty shoes from grinding dirt and such into the muddy/dirty body and scratching it all to hell. the LōD's are more suitable as a functional step, but i feel the EVO's are better as far as sliders go. just a bit more stout and an easier install (if you have or know somebody who has a welder)
