Default Excited, Rock Slider's etc, etc

I'm excited, I spent this Saturday with "Eric >(Mechanical Engineer) of http://www.skidplates.com/) , also known as (Skidrow.com)), they are located right here in Shermansdale, Pa. They put out some of the best Skid Plates and under Chassis protection out there. I contacted him Friday and he said definitely come up with my new JK 4 Door and we will get right to work. He immediately started measuring and drawing out a set of Rock Rail's for the new JK. He then cut all necessary pieces for one bracket on his plasma cutter, these will be bolted to the chassis(3 of them each side is needed) . Then he selected 1 1/2 X 3" rectangular stock that will be welded to the 3 brackets 70" long(fender to fender)). From there it will have a piece of 1 1/2" tubbing welded out a couple inches from the 3" stock front to back. It will follow the same angle as our JK's quarter panel. He said both sides will be done this Saturday and I'll need to go backup for final fitting. They will then be sent out for Powder Coating(black) " Bingo", then I'm in business. the 1st Rock Sliders for the JK. Yes I'll take many Pic's for you guy's. He wasn't done, he also measured out for a full length Skid Plate from oil pan back beyond transfer case(one piece). After this one is built he's showed me the full gas tank plan he has, and the full muffler Skid Plate. I'll be very busy for quite some time but it'll be worth it. Kiss A$$ Bumpers are also in the plan and re-mounting my mirrors off the door's. Then he wants me to display all that he's offered for the JK 4 Door at 3 different major events around here, and also a trip to Quadratech in Delaware for a full day of photo's shoots of his product's.
Now you know why I'm excited, I hit the Mini Loto

I had one of his engine skids on my '04 and they are nice!

Keep us informed and get some pictures posted. Ask him about the full skid for the 2 door if you can calm down and remember to...

Thanks,

Jim

I think Eric will think that's a great idea, plus he's working hard to bring us new JK owners some pretty nice stuff. I learned a long time ago, if you want great bread go to the best bakeshop, if you want great parts go to the Rockcrawler & Builder .

Default Proto Type Rock Guards

Here are a few Pic's of "Skidplkates.Com" Proto Type Rock Guards(in the Raw)).....I've had a blast working along side of Eric, It's amazing to see how he looks so far into the project to produce other add-ons for perfect final product. The Engine/Trany Skid Plate is in progress also. These will be Powder Coated in Black. He's adding a full length cover skid plate on the Rock Guard under were outriggers are located(extra option), also 2 steps if needed(extra option). He's keeping me quite busy, but that's alright.

Will these be bolt on or will you have to drill for the mounts?
