Exhaust??
I am looking into buying an exhaust. I was wondering how many of yall are running an aftermarket one. Is it worth it? Which are you running? What all are you gaining HP/TQ/MPG?
I have a flowmaster exhaust system and you will not gain any mpgs or noticeable power. I have put exhaust systems on all the vehicle I have ever owned and never gotten any performance perks that were noticeable. You get a good low clean sound.
Do yourself a huge favor and get this done yourself. You'll save a bunch of money and have what you want. First off if your going to keep the stock configuration just keep what you have. There is nothing to be gained by just changing out the muffler other than noise.
If your going to do this you need to relocate your evaporation canister so it won't get torn off the bottom of your jeep and this will create a space for the new muffler under the drivers side of the Jeep..
Find a muffler you like..I like Flowmaster so I found a Flowmaster 44 that I liked..I scored it for free...You can find any muffler you want on E bay or other places. Then take the muffler to your local shop and have them weld it up for you. You'll save $200.00 dollars in the process and have just what you want. No gains in MPG maybe a pony in HP but nothing to take home to mom.

I was going to but the dynomax muffler and bring it to my guy to weld me up a custom exhaust on my jeep. I'm not looking for hp or mpg's but to get a more aggressive sound and drop some weight and add clearance. You can save a ton of money like Ifshinxs said. Full systems are expensive and some of them are not functional. My buddie got a magnaflow dual system and he tried to climb a ledge and the tips stuck in the clay and bent the entire system backwards when he came rolling back. I've also seen guys do the same with the single tips.
