Default Exhaust help

So I removed my stock muffler and I like the sound pretty much. But I know I lose back pressure and I lose tourque and MPG. So my question is do I new a muffler and if so looking for a CHEAP bolt on no weld required set up.

Do you feel you've lost power? I don't think the muffler creates too much back pressure. I think the cats and exhaust pipe itself would be enough. Obviously I haven't flow tested this, but makes sense in my head.

Sent from some string and a few tin cans.

Can't really tell a loss of power. I want to say yea but then again I can actually hear the work the engine does now so I can't really tell

See if you can pick up an intermediate pipe from '12-'13 JKs. It should bolt on and has that little resonator type muffler. That may add back some back pressure. Other than that you could get the Dynomax evo muffler that dumps behind the drivers seat for cheap and that is a bolt on...

From all the data ive seen and collected and even a engineer for the company that owns dynomax i belive said that changing the piping after the hot pipe ( the part with the cats and y pipe ) dosent do any thing to effect power and back pressure.

Np i was in the same spot you are now a feew months ago . i wanted a minimal system but was worried about the loss of back pressure killing my low emd but after all the research and finding the information from one of the guys who actually builds and researches exaust systems as a living i decided to go with the dynomax hight flow set up . Basicaly a straight pipe set up with the muffler ( a straight flow through design ) after i installed it i have not noticed any loss of low end and mpg seems to be right where it normally was it just sounds better and i no longer have that huge trashcan hangin off the back of my jeep anymore.

I have a flow master super 10 on mine. Tiny, easy to tuck and is just a more refined sound than muffler less..think they are like $60
