Default Exhaust Question

Ok so I'm getting rid of my magnaflow exhaust to free up some room. My question is will I pass smog if I run straight pipe back from the cats with a resinator? I"ll still have the stock cats and headers in place. Thanks!

You will still pass from a polution standpoint, but probably not due to noise. The muffler does not affect the polutants in the exhaust, only the noise level.

Doesn't a smog shop only test for polution or does it test for noise too? I don't care about how loud it is long as I won't have much problems passing smog.
