Default Exhaust Question

I know its been asked a couple times now, but I am getting sick of not hearing the exhaust on my JK. What are the opinions out there? I have always been a fan of Flowmaster. But I read somewhere on here that they sound like a import. I need to do something soon I am going crazy!!!

Flowmasters kick ass on a V-8 but sound HORRIBLE on a V-6. Do a search for Magnaflow on this forum and you'll find an assload of info on them. I seriously reccomend against going with a flowmaster unless you want your jeep to sound like a honda civic. Im a huge fan of flowmaster too, but all ive ever run is v-8's. When i heard them on a V-6 i almost threw up. No thanks.

Magnaflows are pretty popular so far. A few custom jobs on the site. Stay clear of the Flowmasters unless you put a V8 in your Jeep. Couple people here have Gibson but don't seem overly impressed. There are some sound clips on the site if you search.

I have installed a Flowmaster series 50 on my Liberty - 3.7 and it definetly can be heard....
Unless you want a really loud sound I'd go with it. In fact I'll be installing the same on the JK when it arrives

check the webpage - there is also a button for a sound clip - compare with the clip from the post above....

Anybody think that this will fit? Either under driver, or in the rear? Dimensions 5" X 10" X 22 " - 28" Overall Length

There's a sound clip link on this page; http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/70_series.html

Sounds like a pretty tough muffler.

a quick search for magnaflow will bring up my link... https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-write-ups-39/magnaflow-exaust-2854/

I too am a fan of flowmaster but that's on ALL my V8's. this is actualy the first 6cyl that I've owned so the deep sound of a V8 is all I've been used to hearing and I have to say I'm prety happy with the exaust I put on my JK. it's not a deep sounding V8 but it is a nice sounding V6 that this V8 guy can live with....

I'd like to see someone install this.

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=main&id=584

$80 to $90 online, delivered.

It's what I’m leaning toward. Its the same muffler as dhoffroad, just 3 inches longer. I would guess that the larger the muffler, the deeper the sound???

Any insight would be great.

Borla has come out with a dual exit cat back system. Moves the muffler up under the driver side. It is $1100.00 though. I'm waiting to see to see what else is released or will make custom set up using Borla muffler.
