If you are looking for performance, an exhaust aint gonna help much...
If you want good sound, don't buy a Borla!
Make sure it's stainless or coated, and if you wheel allot, go with something that tucks up under rather than hangs out in front of you're rear bumper...
Just my opinions.....

Hey im new to this forum and my jeep is pretty stock but ill try and help out.
I got a Gibson Dual Exhaust for my 08 jeep jk 4 door, just the "can" replacement no major plumbing ($333? from Quadratec).
It hangs down a little bit I'd say it's much similar to the stock exhaust in terms of how it is tucked under and hangs down.
Performance wise: no big difference, little more low end and gas mileage is about the same give or take 1-2 MPG.
Sound: When it starts up cold with the faster idle it sounds SICK, low V8 rumble, Regular idle is still great still it's a quieter V8 rumble. Cold engine rev about 3200 rep, gets a bit "ricey" but its a 3.8 v6 so it aint gonna get better then this. warmed up not as "ricey" but sounds nice. At cruising (i have a stick and i leave the rpms at about 2000 when im cruising) and when you put the hammer down at 2000rpm at any gear the exhaust has a VERY loud deep v8 tone, sounds GREAT!!
If I was you i would buy the Gibson dual, people don't expect the great sound, makes them go like this:
haha hope this helps.

I got a Gibson, and it is starting to rust in certain area's. Its a decent exhaust, but if I had to do it all over again i would get something different. If you like loud and a deep tone. and something to vibrate anything loose that isnt already,
Go for a Gibson.

If you go with a straight through muffler relocated ahead of the rear axle, you're GONNA see a performance increase. There's no gettin around it. Every bend you eliminate from the system equals a performance increase, however small. Couple that with replacing the stock choke ass muffler with a good free flowing straight through and you will usually feel the difference. Especially if you move the tailpipe to the driver's side. Doing this eliminates even more bends in the exhaust system. I know I sure felt a difference when I did mine. It's a small increase, but it's THERE.

We did a Flowmaster 70 series muffler welded in up as high as it could go and with as few bends as possible. This muffler selection isn't for most jeepers as they like more sound and usually go with a 40 or 50 series but then end up with some highway speed resonance that we didn't want to deal with when driving long distances to the runs. So we had a local shop certified by Flowmaster who specializes in Muscle Cars and Rock Crawlers do all the custom work and it turned out great. Will be a little more throaty with an cold air intake (currently running a K&N drop in) but we don't get a lot of highway noise. Like I said this setup isn't for everyone but it was the right one for us and gives us some low end torque as it isn't so choked back. Just my
I just put the Gibson SS duals on about a week ago. Sounds great when at idle, not sure yet about crusing speeds as to whether I like it or not. IMO it is the best looking.
Most peeps on the forum recommend the MBRP exhaust, I just liked the looks of the Gibosn better.

I like my flowmaster, but the welds on the pipes are rusting off. I am getting my MBRP next week. People rave about them here.
My dad's rubi has the gibson and its loud and I like it, but rusts on the welds holding the muffler up (its stainless!)
