exhaust solution?
If you go with a straight through muffler relocated ahead of the rear axle, you're GONNA see a performance increase. There's no gettin around it. Every bend you eliminate from the system equals a performance increase, however small. Couple that with replacing the stock choke ass muffler with a good free flowing straight through and you will usually feel the difference. Especially if you move the tailpipe to the driver's side. Doing this eliminates even more bends in the exhaust system. I know I sure felt a difference when I did mine. It's a small increase, but it's THERE.
I just got a Flowmaster 40-Series installed today in the stock location. I had them replace the clearance dimple and tuck everything up nice and tight. You can't see anything hanging down from behind. It's much quieter than I expected and I can definitly feel a little boost in the power. Also, surprised me that I think I can tell a difference at lower RPM's and not just WOT. Local shop did it all for $150 which wasn't bad I thought.
