I have a Magnaflow 5 inch round muffler installed in the factory resonator location and a pipe going over the rear axle exiting out of the rear of the jeep... i like the sound...flowmaster was a bit louder but wife didnt want to sound the same as before so i swapped it for a magnaflow this time and it sounds awesome...

Um, rpms are only related to gearing and speed, unless you are coasting. If you go X miles per hour, your RPMs will be Y. This is completely independent of your muffler. Without a muffler it will sound like your rpms go up, but they are not actually going up.

I have a RIPP catback exhaust that sounds awesome. It moves the exhaust to the left side and hides it up under the JK so it doesn't get hit when wheeling.

Had these on my XJ. For the price I was considering putting them on my JK when I got my 17" wheels this week.
