So i upgraded my 09 for a 2012 unlimited rubicon that is pretty tricked out and love the performance but just sounds to tame and wanting it to breath better, whats some great exhuast systems to look at?

I am currently running flowmaster 40 series but would recommend running magnaflow offroad pro series. It's not as loud and the canister is round so it fits nicely before the rear axle of a JK/JKU to avoid destruction from rocks in the stock configuration.

I just installed the Afe high tuck cat back exhaust. Its 2 1/2". Sounds great. Had the Gibson dual axle back and had serious drone from the stock resonator. The new one takes it out. I have a 2012 JKU Sahara.

I got the Magnaflow Off Road Pro kit that turns down in front of the axle. The whole thing is maybe 2 feet long and you can see straight through it. It's quiet at idle, but sounds like a bat outta hell at full throttle. Luckily, I live in SC where we don't have emissions testing and I haven't gotten a ticket yet.

I can tell you that I had the MagnaFlow Off Road Pro series and took it off because my passengers hated me! I now have the MagnaFlow Rock Crawler series and it is more civil. Still plenty loud, still tucks up high but your passengers will thank you.

Thumbs up

We offer the most systems for the JK platform out there!!
I am a big fan of our "rock crawler" system for the JKU. It relocate the muffler in front of the rear axle so less chance of damage on the trail.
Also on rebate for one more day!

MBRP has multiple options for your rig. The before axle offroad exhaust is a nice option. It is a little on the loud side but I believe that is what you are looking for. PM us for pricing.

Default MBRP off road cat back

I put one of these on a couple months ago, its a nice system, high and tucks really nice into the frame, when standing behind the jeep you dont even see the tailpipe. I like the fact that its gets rid of the big ass stock muffler. Eventually i will put my on board air where the oem was. I have a manual so its nice to hear when shifting, i have no drone at highway speeds, youll hear it when you want. I highly recommend
