Gen 3 lod has a new latching mechanism. Stronger and better than before. And different.

There are many threads on here by people who are not completely happy with their LOD bumper. the common complaints are - delivery time, poor powder coat and latch issues. The Expo One bumper seems to be universally liked by it's owners and you'd have to search pretty hard to find an owner to complain about his.

The Expo One allows the tire to swing with the tailgate and it's in stock at Northridge with free shipping. It was a tough decision but I'm glad I ordered my Expo One and can't wait to install it next week.
I don't mind about poor powder coat kuz mine is coming bare steel to be speedlinered. (type of line x) and I don't mind waiting for a quality bumper :-)

Go with Lod and stop asking about that other one. The plate isn't that big of a deal.
