Extra .25" lift?
well, if have an auto and you aren't tearing up your front drive shaft now, your shocks are most likely short enough to prevent it from happening even if you were to install 1" of additional lift. if you have a 2-door, you already need a new rear drive shaft and it's just a matter of time before it lets you know that for sure.
with a 2-door 6 speed, you'll be fine with the front drive shaft that you have now. for the rear, you really will need to replace it and install as set of adjustable rear upper arms to set your pinion angle sooner than later. once you see grease being sprayed out from the CV boots, it'll just be a matter of time before you hear the bearings inside go.
no, you don't have a choice but you can keep driving on the shaft that you have now until it goes bad. this can take anywhere from a few months to a year and it will give you notice when it's on its way out.
