Default OR-Fab Tire Carrier Questions

I've tried searching and have come up short. My apologies if these are repeat questions and I failed to find the answers with a search.

I'm interested in the OR-Fab tire carrier (no cans). Can someone tell me the distance from the tailgate to the sidewall of the tire?

Also, any pictures of where/how a CB antenna and hi-lift jack mount on this carrier? If no pictures, at least a description?

Any particular installation tips? The installation seems somewhat involved. I'm certainly capable, but any insight from those that have already done it is appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I am looking at this as well, with pretty much the same questions. I am also not far from you if you want help.

I've seen all of the stuff about the new rotopax carrier, bonedoc bumper, etc. None of that answers any of the questions I pose in this thread.

I do know that even the rotopax carrier is going to stick out too far for me to utilize a rack I have that goes in the trailer hitch. That's the main reason I'm asking about the distance to the tire for the tire-only carrier.

Go to the vendoe forum and look for the OrFab/Trailmaster rep. Then ask them directly, they are great to work with and there products are top notch. They should be able to get you any answers you are looking for.

Here is a picture of the carrier with jerry mounts bet it is the same for the one without. Where the antenna mounts clean away the finish so you have good metal contact. The hi-lift mounts to the carrier to exsisting threaded holes. not sure if you'll see them in the pictures.

Measure.... Measure...... Measure..... Drink a beer..... Drill a small pilot hole, double check to make sure it lines up. Drink another beer if the holes do and drill them out the rest of the way.

It really isn't too bad installing it. Pick up an angle drill if you don't already have one.

One quick question. How does the carrier hold standard gas cans? I once saw a photo where it seemed that it was just from the top handles. Anyone has any photo detailing it? And how much more does it stretch out than one with rotopack carrier?

The carrier has a lip on the bottom that the cans sit in.

I hear you on the beer drinking. I'm having to drink some with just the thought of doing that much drilling in very conspicuous places on my Jeep. But I do like the final product.

Thanks to Deton8dJK for the pictures.
