Default OR-Fab Tire Carrier Sagging?

I saw in another thread that the OR-Fab tire carrier was sagging with 33" tires. I was planning on going with this carrier with 35s, but after reading that am having second thoughts. Has anybody else had problems with the OR-Fab sagging?

No sagging here and am running a 35, two sometimes full gerry cans, and a Hi-lift.
I'm curious if the person with the sagging issue installed everything correctly There is a brace that mounts inside the passenger side rear light compartment that attaches the top portion of the internal mount to the base of the factory rollbar.

Good to hear you're not having issues, I really like this carrier and hadn't heard about any problems before. It was in this thread, post # 12 https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/modified-jk-tech-2/solution-big-spare-stock-bumper-75000/ I didn't want to hijack that thread so I started a new one.

So, I don't know what he's talking about, because I haven't heard anyone else complaining about the JK one sagging, or any of the previous one's sagging. That's not to say that there may be a few out there, but probably a lot more are out of adjustment than sagging. I haven't heard anyone on here that owns one complain about it. I sure like mine.

That's why you get extra brass spacers. Sounds like it's time for a adjustment if your sagging. Or it could easily be because the hinges need to be tightened.

I posted in the thread linked above. The only "sag" I know of with the OR-Fab carrier (I have one) is when you first install it, it might line up perfectly to the latching block, but once it is weighted down, the carrier might meet up slightly below the latching block. The instructions actually tell you when you install it to line up the rack slightly higher than the latching block to compensate for this. It is normal since you are putting over 150lbs (sometimes over 200lbs.) on it. It doesn't sag over time, it is too sturdy...it is simply the intitial weight being added. I actually did NOT install mine higher than the block as per the instructions, and was a little concerned. I spoke with OR-Fab, and they informed me that they purposefully put over 5K miles on their "test" JK with the rack installed "below" the block. They said they did this because they figured most would do what I did, and not align it correctly. Their test revealed that it was absolutely fine with that set up. The OR-Fab doesn't sag as the post in the other thread reads.

In fact, 2 of my buddies run that same carrier on their TJ's (TJ version OR-Fab carrier) with 35's and gas cans and have done so for many years with HARD off roading and have no issues, AND, still no rattles...or sagging. That was one of the reasons I went with this carrier. It's been proven.
