I've had mine like that for years. Lots of tire clearance.

Use the cut off ends to cap the bumper

I'm going to be doing the chop and fold. I'm not a big fan of the chop and cap method. Still looks unfinished to me. I'll be making a post in a month or so when I do the project. Lucky for me I have 2 front bumpers to try it on then my front bumper with fog lights I just got so I can practice. And if everything goes good I'll have 2 other fronts to give away.
