On the jeep. No regrets. Cut big and go down if needed, you can always cut te second time but can't add on

Thanks SebasCbass! I agree with those that said the first cut was the hardest. Just go slowly and be conservative. You can always take more off, but obviously can't put it back. Good luck!

I did mine a couple of months ago. I used a jigsaw for the first cuts, but my blade wasn't long enough to plunge all the way through the inner liner parts near the outside of the fender. So I followed up with a sawzall to trim the much sturdier inner liner. With some creative cutting with tin snips I was able to keep a lot of the inner liner on the fronts. A note on the actual shape you pick - it's hard to bend the door liner trim around a 90 degree angle, so nice round bends are better. Also, be careful not to "stretch" the liner lengthwise as you put it on. I found heating it up with a heat gun helps, but makes it easy to stretch it out - then when things get cold in the winter it shrinks up and wants to pull off because it's too short.

These were taken before I sprayed the fender wells flat black. They look much better after the paint.
What size tire and lift you running? Thinking of doing this too.

I've posted this before, but a lot of people do the fender trim and have trouble up front with the liners. That's the part that is hardest to get right. Watch the "stock to rock" videos on YouTube. The one installing genright flat flares. It shows exactly how to cut the front inner fender liners. After cutting buy to fender bolts with the big washers and drill one hole through the fender liner and the body mount behind the front tires. Install fender bolt through the liner and the body mount and put a nut and washer on and it won't flap in the wind. It's the best fix I've found after doing three fender chops. It looks factory.

Cut fenders, 3 inch lift on 37's. like everyone else has said, the 1st cut is the hardest.

totally worth cutting them, i will never regret cutting mine. it was my first mod after i bought tires.
i ran metal rivets in the front fenders between the cheap plastic clips to ensure they dont come off
