Default The Final Seat Belt Solution

so i have an 07 an my riders hate getting in the backseat via passenger side and i was looking at my jeep and figured it out

THE ULTIMATE FIX

the ancor point for the end of the seat belt is connected by a bolt (torx of course) in a plate and that plate is held on by a THIN 1/8-1/4 in piece of steel

THE PLAN

i'm going to cut that strip and undo the bolt and then bolt it down to the bottom of the floor and when i can weld in on. i asked a friend of mine who does safety rating for trucks said that bolted it would work with the right renforcement and welding it would make it unmovable. so in the morining i will do it once i figure out where in the floor would be best to drill and bolt though.

as soon as i am done i will take pics and post a write up in the write up section

wish me luck

me either, but my son has one. Everything is connected to the pillar so when you fold the seat forward nothing impedes your entry into the back. They are so easy to get into compared to the JK

well i went outside (f'ing cold for tx) and took a look under my jeep and the only place to drill in would still, once mounted and hae 6 in bar going straight up will give the riders in the back a hard time getting in, a hell of alot easyer but still kinda hard

now i'm re thinking of maybe connected to the seat bracket near the back

ok so i went out and look and the 07s have the same hole under the seat belt so its going to be a really cheap mod. i also made a discovery about where the seat belt attachs to the seat, its only one bolt so nothing to cut.

i will be going to the my local parts guy tomorrow to see if i can get the bracket from them (most likely giving up my first born to get it) unless the one i ordered is cheaper
