Default Finally some hacking Mod...Stubby Antenna

My first hacking....wasn't too bad. Hacked my stock antenna down to 13".

Took the antenna off ( 3/8 wrench)
Pulled the little ball at the end of the antenna with pliers.
Measure to 13"...HACKED IT!!
Filed the end of it so the ball can go back on it.
Slide black heat shrink tubing over it....heat!
Install the little ball...solder it!!

And walla...My own little STUBBY!!.

Note: Haven't noticed any reception loss....we'll see.

looks like a great idea, for those who dont have the time or might want to put jeep back to stock before selling, buying a short replacement antenna might be a better idea

Nice. Was your reception OK afterwards?
