I have my Drake mount on the drivers seat. It is the best place IMO.
If there is a fire, I don't plan to be in the seat, so access will not be an issue.
I would rather have it there then risk having to stay in the Jeep longer to reach over and fumble with the mount on the passenger side.

You may be right, I'm going to give it a try, and if I don't like it on the passenger side I will just move it over to the drivers side.
