Default FireStik Antenna Mount - Front Fender

Hi Everyone,

I have searched the forum for FireStik fender mounting details. There may be something buried deep in a long thread that I may have missed.

FireStik sells a mount for the front fender (driver's side). They promote the location in the front of the Jeep for several different reasons.

Has anyone here installed the antenna at that location on an 07, 08, or 09?

(Any problem with fender flex or other types of deformation?)

Thanks

Jeff

Hey Jeff -

From what I've seen on this forum - most people are running the antenna on the back of the Jeep. I personally run it on the spare tire bracket. I'm not a CB geek but from what I've read having the antenna centered and above the roof line is a good call. Maybe someone can chime in?

Also, for a lot of the trails out here (NJ) a front mounted antenna is just asking to get ripped off or hung up on branches/brush/etc.

Sorry I don't have a link to anyone rocking the Firestick fender mount. Maybe this bump will help.
