Thread Bump. I just saw this thing on the show Trucks! With the way gas prices are going even 1 mpg could be significant. Anybody else have any direct experience with it?

I know there are a bunch of people who are going to claim snake oil but I would like to hear from someone that has it.

Automobile manufacturers are under pressure from both the government and the public to produce efficient designs. If there was a cheap and easy way to bolt on a little device to make engines 10% more efficient, auto manufacturers would put it on every vehicle they sold.

Again, thank you to everbody with an opinion that has never used one. Is there anybody who has actually put it in a vehicle or at least has a friend who put it in? Anyone?

As a side note: as far as the arguement of "why doesn't big auto put them in standard." I guess for the same reason they don't use better exhaust systems, better air intakes, better computer programming, lighter materials (a jk door weighs 60+ pounds).

It's kind of funny looking around the web there are message boards for motorcycle, RV, snowmobile, and every car type out there talking about this thing. Every one of them has similar posts.

Guy says what about this thing
next guy says I have one and it works
next guy says "snake oil"
next guy "says fool and his money..."
next guy says "scientifically it can't work"
thread ends

I am not saying this thing might work it probably does not but surely there is someone who has put one on some engine and done some kind of testing with it.

I have been in the auto industry a touch over thirty years now, so yes, I have tried or witnessed dam near everything like this. This stuff ain't new. You're actin like this just came about. Fuel saving tablets and devices have been around since the 40s. Probably before that. Yeah, go ahead and get you some. Take a chance those tablets won't disolve completely and booger up your fuel pump and or injectors. Knock yourself right on out. But when you do, remember all of us who tried to warn you against it. There's no substitute for experience. Ask yourself if you're really hard up enough to risk engine damage only to find out that it WAS snake oil. Mighty expensive lesson to learn when you learned it here first for FREE. It's your head. Make it as hard as you want.

Wow, did you even read my post or just start typing?

1. I don't want the thing
2. I doubt it even works
3. I just want a real world analysis
4. Unless you have actually tried it your opinion is worthless to me

If this stuff has been around since the 40's you think I could find SOMEONE WHO HAS ACTUALLY TRIED IT!

Since it looks like some people are talking about a product they know nothing about, this is not tablets that you dump into your gas tank. This is an inline cartridge unit.
