trim your fenders. if you don't like it, i'd say buy a set of bushwackers.

I really like the way the Bushwakers look, but it's hard to beat the price of trimming the stock ones. I guess it really depends on if you feel like spending your money on that or something else. Me, I would rather spend the money elsewhere.

Ditto to WOL and Bowman, I just dont see a reason to pay $500+ for crappy plastic fenders, when you can trim yours for free and enjoy another DIY mod. My 8-yr helped me, and loved chopping daddy's toy. Check out the Fender Chopping threads, then decide.

now, steel tube fenders are a different story........

^ times a lot. IMO I wouldn't spend money on plastic replacements when there are several awesome steel fenders on the market.

without a question chop your fenders first you have nothing to lose and its easy. if you dont like them then buy replacements. if you have the cash i would go tube fenders. plastics just seem to fade and warp IMO

the xenon fenders do but not the bushwackers - or, at least, i have not seen it before.

problem with steel tube fenders is that they translate hits into the body and do body damage - i have seen this happen before. heck, i have even seen xenon fenders cause body damage before too. and, that's why i'm such a fan of trimming the factory fenders. they are soft and flexible and just bend out of the way of trees and rocks. i've hit mine plenty and have no body damage

I'm actually partial to the Bushwackers but that's just me, I don't really like how flimsy the stock ones look cut.
