Default Flat Spot while turning

So I'm running 35x 13.50 MTZ's... It seems like when I'm turning from one direction all the way to the other.. there is a small flat spot, where I'm turning the steering wheel, but the wheels don't turn any further.. just for a second or so.. and then continue to turn as I turn the steering wheel.

Is this normal? Is this because of the width of my tires? Sorry I'm newb-in it up today!

Is the belt slipping?

No, there is no belt slipping. It seems to be right when I get to the center of my turn ... I was thinking it might be the width of my tires? I'm not sure, I've never had 13.50's before.

It sometimes surprises me, for a sec... potentially it could be dangerous, but at least I'm aware of it. I just wish I knew the cause.

im running 13.50 and do not have this problem. if it is doing this at a certain point in the steering, then to me , i would feel like there is a worn out spot somewhere in the steering components and untill u turn the wheel past that point, you get a hesitation. maybe u nderstand what im tryin to say or someone else can ellaborate.

I smell what you're cooking.. I'm sure it's something along those lines, but I can't find anything under there. I was hoping that someone else might have had the same issue.

Thanks for the info though, I was seriously thinking it might be because the 13.50's are so wide.

Check the power steering pump, may just be low on fluid. It could be going bad too.
Let us know after you find it...

I've found the culprit... The trackbar relocation bracket had some play in it. The washers that are on the bolt that helps stabilize the bracket were warped in and the bracket would shimmy.

Whenever I would do a full turn from left to right.. right about time I would hit center the bracket would move instead of actually turning the wheels on around.

Easy fix! Although I'm thinking about welding it to help keep it from happening again.
