Default Flexarm install question

i installed a tf 3 inch lift last year and now thinking about adding flex arms to the front first then the back. I didn't see a write-up with only the flexarms being added on. Would I have to jack up the jeep with no tires to install the flexarms or are they just a bolt on bolt off deal? I couldn't tell with any of teraflex's install manuals. appreciate any help.

Some have changed them out with the vehicle resting comfortably on the ground...I personally like to secure the weight of the Jeep off of the axle and control arms before removing them. They can be an absolute pain to install the new ones being that the axle will be rotating and forced out, the holes can be a pain to realign. Ratchet straps can help force the axle where you need it, or you can try using a floor jack under the steering knuckle to help use the weight of the Jeep in you favour when realigning he holes....I use the floor jack under the steering knuckle method, others use the ratchet strap to bumper.
Does that make sense?

yeah, you can definitely install control arms with your jeep on the ground. just do one at a time and you'll need to use a floor jack to help control the position of your axle. having said that, i think it's a lot easier to do with your frame on jack stands, tires off and the spring load off your axles.

Like WOL said it is doable, but it will probably be just as fast to just jack it up and then switch it out.

I figured it would need to be off the ground, just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the heads up.
