Default X running 37''

Hey all, I have been a long time lurker and figured its time I come out of the shadows. I have a 08 X 2 dr automatic that I would like to begin modifying. I have read many threads and sorry if this has been posted before, but I could not figure out the search feature. I live in NE Florida and Georgia so the terrains may vary from yours, but my ultimate goal would be and 37''s. This is what I have set up for my mod list (feel free for any suggestions that you may think would help me with my future goal and making my rig practical):
Superchips Flashpaq
Teraflex steering stablizier
5.13 gears
EVO C2 Gussets
EVO 30 Magnum sealed axle sleeve
TeraFlex 4'' suspension system with 4 flex arms

Now for the tires, I think I have narrowed it down to three:
Goodyear Wrangler MT/R (favorite so far)
Toyo open country M/T
BF Goodrich KM2's

Thanks for any help

37's are alot on a dana 30 but your list looks good. you will need a bumper tire carrier unless you never get a flat and don't carry a spare. i would just go with a pro cal and save a few bucks but i don't like programers on gas engines. all that money for 10 hp is crap.

I would skip the sleeves and go with chromoly shafts instead.

I would check out the nitto trail grapplers if you haven't. I don't know if they have the 37's out yet or not though..

Thanks for the replies, as to the chip my reasoning behind it would be to get better gas mileage, as of right now I get around 14 mpg in the city on stock gears and 33''s i'm hoping to do better performance wise

I would pay attention to how much your wheel and tire combo weights.

I think MTR's offer a 37 x 12.5 x 15 with an aluminum rim I bet you would be in the 90-95 range vs. a Toyo 37x13.50 17 on a heavy rim at around 130 pounds+.

Just my 2 cents.

Good point, The 37x12.5x17 is 76lbs and I was planning on matching them with 17'' KMC Addicts, which I couldn't find the specs for

Nice list there! FYI TeraFlex now makes knuckle gussets ($35.99) and axle sleeves ($99.99).

I have the flashpaq. Has a little power gain. Not a miracle. My reasoning was being able to compensate speedo to tire sizes. I also run stock gears on 33's, I average about 16 mpg. Just got back from a weekend snowboard trip and my average of mountain and highway driving home was 17.2mpg. Thats what the gauge says and was backed by my calculations.

If you are dealing with MUD, the MT/R is not the best, its better than an AT, and great in the rocks, but for mud, there are better choices.

A lot will depend upon how much ON road performance you are willing to trade for OFF road performance.

Got my gussets comming!! Ordered today. Definatly a must have with the 37's. Just letting the front end down from the jack you can see the 37" tires leaning inward.
