Anyone have one or seen one and be willing to weigh in on how much weight can be put on top of a Besttop Flexatrunk? I want to put a spare wheel/tire on top and I assume it is rugged enough to not bend but want to make sure before I drop the $400 on it.

For the money, go with the one Tuffy just introduced. My flexatrunk keeps honest people honest, but it is no where near the security as what the tuffy is. Unfortunately, the tuffy wasn't out last year when I got mine.

 

I have the Flex-a Trunk installed in m 08 Rubicon 4-door. I installed the universal rack on top. This allows for double stacking and easy securing of all my gear + JUNK.

Do you have a 2-door or 4-door.

I also used some permant sealers on the seams of the Flex-A Trunk that made it much tighter and NO rattles. I have my hi-lift and pul-pal mounted to the top univeral rack and I have a lot of free space and very easy to secure.
