flowmaster?
I realize there won't be huge power gains or anything like that and figure the stainless pipes jeep provided would be fine, thus I only want to get a muffler. Is a cat-back system really worth the extra $300?
I've been doing more research on the different flowmaster mufflers and was wondering what the difference is between the 40 series and the super 44? The flowmaster site has every series listed and I can't really tell much of a difference between any of them? Which one is the best sounding on the JK? I heard the 50 series and like that a lot, is the 40 series just louder?
Also, to anyone who has a flowmaster, is there an annoying drone at highway speeds?

The super44 is louder. The super 44 is also painted black, but the paint will come off after awhile. It's marketed/meant for mustang-type applications, but I like it on mine. I don't notice any sort of annoying drone, but I always have music or something on.
And, in my opinion, the catback system is not worth it. You can add gold to a pile of shit, but at the end of the day its still a pile of shit. Our 3.8l engine is the pile of shit in this story.

i have a the 40 and like it. I did notice some slight power gains and about 1mpg improvment after instalation. I would suggest going to a local muffler shop and telling them what you want rather than ordering a kit. It will be cheaper and probably better made.
