Default ? For folks running 37s or bigger

I was just wondering how many people were running a JK on 37s or bigger and using it as a daily driver? If you are, any unexpected issues? I know, the regearing and all of the other things you would normally have to do to go that big are part of the package. I was just curious as to whether they started to lose their drivability when they got up to that size. Also, what kind of lift you were running and how you liked it. We had been thinking about going with a 4" long arm kit but we had been getting some feedback that the long arm kit was not necessary with the additional length of the Unlimited.

I have the Currie lift, WE shocks, WE beadlocks, and 37" BFG KM2s. It is my daily driver and a fun one at that. I have not had any issues, the only time my stability control system comes on is when I run one of those 360 highway off-ramps faster than 30 mph. You can't be speed racer in traffic, but I never was one to begin with.

Right on. Thanks for the information. Wow, only 1 post. Does this mean no one else is doing the daily driver thing on 37s?

I did for almost a year, and did not have any issues what so ever.

Sounds like you decided to quit driving it on the road. Any particular reason? Gas mileage, save the tires?

Nice little flop on your video in the signature! Do any real damage?

I'm considering going to 37's once my 35's wear out! I want to do it with the least amount of lift as possible to key the center of gravity as low as possible! I think with re-gearing and keeping up with overall mantiance a DD on 37's would be ok!

Both reasons listed above. I had switched jobs and was driving close to 80 miles a day round trip, so I bought a gas saver. Gas prices were pushing $3.75 a gallon at the time here. I still drive it to and from the trails, weekends, and tow my pop up camper with it and drives great.

No real damage, just a little dent in the rear quarter panel

Have been driving daily with the 37's for over a month now. Have not yet done gears, and I'm surprised at the driveability with the stock 4.10 gears. not bad at all, and I can still use 6th on the highway. Have not done mountain roads or steep highway yet, I expect those to be more noticeable, and I do have plans for 5.13 gears soon. You do feel the extra weight of the tires, but it drives about as nice as it did stock.

I'd say the biggest problem is the groan the wife makes when she climbs up into the passenger seat, even with grab handles.

I know what you mean on the gas saver. I quit driving my F-250 when diesel got over $4/gallon. Bought a neon.

Sounds like you guys have had good experience with the JKs on 37s. If you can still tow with it, that is definitely a good thing. Still blast down the interstate at 80-85 with no issues?

I drive 80-100 miles every day with mine,37-13.50 toyos around town in traffic with 5.13 gears, wheel it pretty hard regularly and I wouldn't change a thing!I have a RE 3.5 inch lift and Zenon narrow fenders.(My wife doesn't like getting in mine either!).
