Default Found Spare Parts Under the Hood

While doing the lift we had the hood open and I happened to look down just behind the fuse box. There I found three screws, each about 3" long. I had never removed them so I figure they were there from the factory, spare parts, just in case. I'll post a picture when I get home to see if anyone can identify what they may have come from.

that would be really cool and or smart for DC to put spare parts under the hood because they know so many people off road their jeeps!!

But it could also just be an accident during the actual build up of the rig from the factory??

Yeah, I'm sure it is, an accident that is. I really just wanted to make sure they weren't something important that should hacve been installed at the factory and were forgotten. They actually seem to match the bolts that attach the fuse box and other stuff in that area.

For now, I'll keep treatng them as spare parts

going along with "extra parts". I know someone that found an old worn hammer under the cowl of their 1985 BMW 7 series. A german original I guess. Really random.

My sister has 4 oil filter wrenches from Jiffy Lube. They keep leaving them on!

Those arent spare parts, they are extra fuel rods for the Mr. Fusion compact nuclear powerplant.

put 'em back!

Default More Spare Parts

I too have found some spare parts in my new Jeep

just the other day I found one of those small circular rubber bump stops. Like the type used for body or interior panels that open/close. It was under the passenger seat. I haven't looked yet to see if it actually fell out of the place it belongs, or fell into the Jeep during assembly.

i also found one of the plastic trim plugs (to hold on door panels, seat fabric, etc.) on the floor a few weeks ago. Again, don't know if it fell out during use, or fell in during assembly.

Its a jeep thing, they know you'll need the spare parts eventually. If all you guys with JK's would send me your spare parts, we could make my JK before DC. LOL
