I commonly have the factory soft top down on my jeep, and am wondering how easy the frameless top would be for a complete take down for a topless day ?

Oh it's super easy! Unzip the windows, which leaves you with just the top. The tops frame has 2 spring clips, one on each side of the roll bar.

There is a diy thread on how to roll and store the trektop nx. I just got the trektop switched from a hard top. Unfortunately didn't know that it came with everything but I returned the extra parts I got.

Does the Trektop NX use the door surrounds or not? "Ex Umbris Venimus"

The Trektop NX comes with its own door surrounds. Everything needed is in the box.

If you already have surrounds left over from a factory soft top, maybe look at the cheaper (and poorer quality?) Pavement Ends option instead.

The new Trektop NX is just what I needed for the Jeep. Such an amazing product.

I just purchased the Trektop NX for my 2015 JK, I am really enjoying the flexibility of this! It's quite a change from my stock soft top on my TJ without the bows, when the windows are out it's a clear view with no obstructions! The installation isn't too hard, I can't stress enough that you should watch the instructional videos, there's a couple of little tricks to learn! The hardest part for me was getting the rear window zipped up for the 1st time even though we are experiencing record heat in Ontario, once it stretched a bit it was much easier the 2nd time!
