Default Front bumper rubbing.

I am running 35's on my jk with a full traction 3" lift and 1 3/4" spacers in the front. At full stuff the tire rubs on the bumper.

Does any one know a way to space the front bumper (plastic) out? If not Im gonna have to go stubby.

Just take the plastic off the whole bumper. That way if you get an aftermarket later, you can sell the stocker. I think you might be able to use washers to shim it out if you got longer bolts.

There are quite a few threads in the Write-ups area about chopping the front bumper to make it into a stubby. Some of them look really slick. Check out the one Woods/Jeepswag did, might be an option before buying one.

Yeah you can chop it off or just pull the plastic covering off and leave the metal bumper... Or you can buy a stubby, or you can just pull everything off and leave it as is lol

You can space it out about a half inch or more. Take off the 8 nuts from the inside than slide the bumper out. Install your spacers reinstall. You could even use those backer plates that are behind the nuts. Good luck.

Becareful with spacing out any bumpers I have the same issue running 37" tyres with ARB front bar and was thinking of spacing out the bar but research has shown that it will definately effect the AIR BAGS compatability. So still researching

If I don't move the metal bumper I don't see how I could effect the airbags.

I don't think you can just move the plastic out, This will move the whole bumper out. I don't think this has anything to do with the air bags.

Airbags are not connected to the bumper. They have a sensor in the front but spacing your front bumper will not negatively effect your airbag system. If you have an impact that requires airbags that gap will not be meaningful in the crash.
