Default Which front bumper should I pick?

I'm going to be picking a new bumper in the coming weeks and wanted to get some opinions. I like the LoD bumpers, but can't decide between the stubby or the mid-width. I like the look of the mid-width better, but my concern with it is approach angles on obstacles, and I need to be able to easily access my quick disconnects. I also like the new Poison Spyder Brawler Lite.

Another plus on the LoD side is they offer an option to add a fog light kit. (My JK didn't come with fogs).

check out the RR XHD. Very popular great bumper for the money and very customizable.

I have a friend with the Rugged Ridge modular bumper. It seems to work well for him, but I just want to go a different direction. I'm not too sure about the bolt on components.

Does anyone have any experience with LoD's fog light kit? Does it perform well and was it easy to install?

Also, can someone with the LoD mid-width comment on approach angles and ease/difficulty of getting to the disconnects?

Thanks!

Does anybody who owns one of the 3 bumpers have things that they like or dislike about the bumper?

I have an e-disco, but I don't see why there would be a problem accessing your manual disconnects with the mid-width.

I really like the LoD mid-width, so I voted for it. However, a stubby looks real good too!

For LoD, I think it's mainly up to personal preference. I like the look of the mid-width over the shorty, plus (according to the LoD website) it's lighter. Also, I think the fog lights are mounted in a better location to give more side visibility.

The only things I didn't like about LoD are 1.) the long turn-around time (up to 4-weeks); and 2.) the price.

Good point on the weight. I hadn't noticed that before. I doubt 20-25 pounds will make that much of a difference though. Especially after I add a winch.

As for price, I've learned from my rear bumper (Smittybuilt XRC), that it's worth it to pay a little more for a more quality product. While the LoD stuff is almost double what it would cost for something like a Rugged Ridge bumper, I think the LoD is a more durable quality product, and I can do their fog light kit for much cheaper than buying something like the Delta Fog Light kit.

I like to think that every pound counts. Save 26 pounds by going with the mid-width, and another ~20 pounds by going with synthetic winch line. It adds up!
