With the exceptions of a few lucky folks, i think most of us have had to improvise when building our jeeps. Ive had to fix things away from home or even at home and have used some sketchy methods. You have to do what you have to in order to get back on the road/trail. Jeep is looking good. Id be interested in knowing how the synergy coils ride. I am considering going with those as well. Am in the process of building front and rear axles up, then going to 40's and a lil more lift. Got this bad boy sitting in the garage right now

Thanks mango, it was extremely unsafe at times but after 5 hours, the only way those coils weren't going on was if it fell off of the jacks. But the hi lift by far was the most important. The only fully functioning jack I had and the ability to lift the jeep without wood blocks.

Well I'm at home (25 acres of land) and I might have accidentally wandered off the road with all the rain we've gotten lately... Whoops. They ride nice from what I've seen so far but it'll take a while to develop a solid opinion. When I do I'll be sure to tell you what I think.

So... What's the plan for those old axles? Specifically your front... If you see what I'm getting at haha.

Im not running a dana 44 up front currently, i have an open diff dana 30 that has been sleeved.. its held up thus far with the 35's and rock monster beadlocks. I'll be selling the front for pretty cheap. It will include the shafts but not the brake assemblies. If you need an axle, i dont mind selling it. Otherwise, id suggest looking into getting into a dana 44 front from a rubi. The benefit there is the size of the ring and pinion. The thickness of the tube is the same whether the 30 or the 40. My friends Cherokee has a locked dana 30 in the front and has held up for over 200k miles and 40k of them on 35's. He just sent me a pic today of his odometer had hit 400k!!!!

For some reason, despite your name, I thought you had a rubi already that's why I was asking about that front axle. I need to get shafts in mine before I break it.... Or just break it to upgrade it? And that Cherokee has the miles I want to get out of mine! But I've got a ways to go.

Also if you're gonna do the axle swap yourself I would love a write up or general summary with pictures. I'm ashamed to admit I'm jealous. But I'll never admit I should have bought that rubicon
