People are driving without that boot for extended periods, so it's not a huge issue, just pull it apart and grease it on a semi-regular basis. (you don't want it locking up into a single shaft and damaging the tcase/pinion on articulation)

None of the aftermarket double cardans use a boot there, but they all have zerks for greasing.

What about clearance from articulation on a m/t? Any precautions to take like in the a/t

manuals don't have the same issue with the front drive shafts contacting the transmission.
