Default Front driveshaft replacement

Tried to unstick my buddy who had his 41 inch tires buried in sand on a steep bank washout hidden by brush ate the front driver side of his jeep. I tried to winch him out, winch went into thermal shut down, tried pulling him backwards with my jeep and driveshaft twisted and broke like a wet noodle... ended up having to call a tow truck... crappy deal.

Anyways what front drive shaft should I replace it with? Dana 30, 4.88, 35s, 2.5 tera coil lift.

Tom Woods, JE Reel, Adams, or I'd personally throw in Krawl Off Road as well. I have the KOR drive shafts and no complaints.

I went with JE Reel with new yokes rather than the factory flanges. No problems

Unless you hit a rock, the stock shafts are as strong as a 1310. Sounds like you need more beef. That, or your shaft had some sort of previous damage (even a dent would do it).

1310 is fine unless you wheel real heavy. The you'd want a 1350. But given your set up I'd stick with 1310. All above mentioned brands are reputable.

He destroyed a stock shaft, which is as strong as a 1310. Your advice is questionable at best. Given his setup? Hardly relevant. His use case is what matters. Clearly, he has a leveraged drivetrain that he pushes.

Define reputable?

I seriously doubt the stock shafts are as strong as aftermarket shafts. The stock shafts feel like tin cans compared to my aftermarkets.
