Is the front frame crossmember NEEDED?
The front cross member that is right below the radiator?
I really want to just cut it off but im not sure if it would damage the strength of the frame Some help would be nice and i searched but didnt really find |
Without the cross member you would introduce enough frame flex to mount a case of death wobble for the record books.

are you sure me and you are talking about the same thing?
Im talking about the rail the is like right below the front bumper and behind it... it seems already pretty weak |
It is pretty weak - I bent mine up pretty badly last year on the trails.
A couple of things to keep in mind before cutting it off: It does offer somewhat of a protection factor - as you mention, it is below the radiator (better to hit the cross member than end up with a cracked radiator), and some of the front bumper skids use it as a mounting point. JD |

yeh i have been thinking about it..
i already have a little piece cut out of it for my winch can go on free spoil but i wasnt sure if i could just cut it or what |
if that makes any sense and wow is that your setup i really like the king coilovers |
Nope, not mine, just something I was looking at from off road evolution earlier.

If your talking about the crash bar for the e-disco--hangs down and not attached on either side-- guys cut that all the time. But if you have the e-disco, better get something else to protect that,,
