This thread reminds me when I was younger. I'd take apart an RC car or a BB gun or something mechanical. After putting it together without a few pieces it'd still work perfectly..

I'd leave it on unless you really really wanted it off.

 

Its kinda dumb... I agree. So its a crash thing? In that case mine is already much higher than it should be and more then likely useless due to lift/tires etc...

 

I cut mine off a while ago.

 

remember there are DOT LAWS even for passenger vehicles. we can be pulled over just the same as a trucker who does not have a rear bar. so unless it is necessary to remove that bar, just leave it alone. i dont know about other states, but Florida DOT Law enforcement pulls people over all the time on I-10
