Sitting here in Moab after running Cliff hanger and my front lockers will not release! 2007 4 door with 3.5 lift. The light just flashes at me. Tried shifting in and out of 4 low, tried reverse and turning on flat ground , tried ignition on and off, tried holding button in for long period, tried wiggling wire while wife held button, What is next? Please help would like to go out again tomorrow.

Did you try to lock it again and unlock it repeatedly in 4 low

The relays are under the hood and when you engage them you can hear them "clunk". I would open hood and have wife try to engage them with it in 4lo and ignition just on (don't need engine on, but need ignition to run position) and you go under hood and listen for the "clunk". This will tell ya if the relay is workin or not which could tell ya if the "locker is gettin it's signal or not. Also I guess you could unplug the locker if ya find the plug and I would think it would "unlock" then. things to try

Common problem with the stock rubi lockers. Try a flat surface in reverse. If you have a after market cover like ARB you can pull the dipstick and put a small screw driver in by the flat plate and a little pressure can release it. I have done that with the jeep in nuteral and someone rocking it to and fro.

You will more in likely need a new locker as these are not repairable. I went threw 5 total before I was cut off. Now I run ARB.

The same thing happened to me last April. Finished Cliffhanger and my front locker wouldn't unlock. The next day wayoflife pulled the cover and manually unlocked it. We had to jack up the front end first to release the bind on the locker. While the cover was off, it was working but, I was afraid it would get stuck on. So for the next 2 days I didn't use it. To be safe, I unplugged the connection on the diff. Sometimes I push the button the wrong way. I didn't want to have to take the cover off again just in case.

When I got home I had the locker replaced and its been working great so far.

Moochie, I always break plugs when I try to unlock them, Are there two electric plugs on the axle or one and do you remember how it comes apart? It is dark now and I think I feel two plugs. Thanks for the help

I think it was just one plug. Unplugging it is not going to unlock it though. I did this after we manually disengaged the locker. After the trouble we took to unlock it, I didn't want to mistakenly lock it again. It's almost impossible to steer on the highway locked up. I feel your pain.

There are two on the housing. The lower one on the side is the locker. The upper is the traction control. It just unplugs. There is a little strip you must move to unplug it.
