Default Front pinion angle pic

Hey guys... Just installed my RK CA's and set them to recommended length per RK.

A little concerned about touch front pinion angle... Seems pretty steep at the T Case.
How does it look to you?

Saw your pic nevermind. My driveshaft looked like that too. I had 5 degrees of castor. It went out after a thousand miles.

The shaft or the. T case? Did it vibrate at all?
How the heck are you supposed to have goo caster without grenading your shaft or t case?

How much lift? I hage 4.5. The shaft boot popped at the t case side. I think you either have good caster/bad ds angle or bad caster/better ds angle. I didn't have any vibrations. I got under the jeep one day and saw cv grease slung everywhere. I just pulled the shaft before anything bad happened. You should be fine for awhile just check it.

I have about 3.5" lift. Did your boot rip by snagging on the plate while crawling or offroading?

An aftermarket DS will help as they are more forgiving when you start adjusting castor. Are you still using stock gearing? Those that have regeared to 5.13s have to find a balance between having good castor vs vibes. It's kind of a compromise between the two, because if you have too much castor, although it may drive fine some have seen a lot of vibes with that higher gearing because the DS spins a lot faster with the 5.13s vs the stock gearing, etc...

I was considering a Tom Woods down the line. Just don't want to change too many things with an extended warranty.
I still have stock 3.21's fortunately for my DS and T Case ..

.....I know what you mean....Did you install the CAs because your Jeep feels flighty or just wanted to run the beefier RK CAs? I also installed a 2.5" RK lift and my Jeep drives fine. After seeing this thread I may hold off in installing my TF CAs until I get an aftermarket DS to go with it or adjust the CAs as close to stock as possible.....

It was flighty as hell. Some friends were driving behind me and when we stopped they said " you know you were swerving all over the road? " lol...
It was really bad on bumpy roads too.
I checked the caster angle and its around 6.5 -7.
I may drop it to 5 this weekend and see if it drives good still. Considering before the arm swap it was about 3....
