I have a front end squeak. I traced it to the front pinion seal. It seems to be spinning with the driveline not sure if this is normal. It's not leaking oil or anything but the sound is getting worse. Is there a way to lube the seal without taking it apart or do I need to replace the seal? It's for the pro rock 44 not sure if it matters.

I have the same problem and it persistently got worse. Considering my Pinion Bearing was OK, I just sprayed some Lithium Lube around the seal housing. It seems to have stopped for the time being. As long as your seal is not leaking it will be fine, just annoying. I bought a new seal from the dealership 52$. You can get a new seal online from extremeterrain.com for 13.99$ Omix-ADA Pinion Oil Seal, Front Dana Super 30 Dana 44 (07-14 Wrangler JK)
Manufacturer Part Number (MPN): Omix-ADA 16521.22

Its the exact same seal that Mopar uses. just overpriced from them. I intend on changing it once the noise returns. Its about a 30 minute repair with minimal tools. Check out the vids on YouTube. Hope this helps a little.

That is weird I have seen a few over the year that do that but not common by any means.

If you do want an oe seal we sell them $17.64 plus shipping

Glad to see someone is looking out for me. Lol.

I started this thread 14 months ago.
The seal started spraying oil out within a couple days. I went to the dealer and got a new seal. I think I spent less than $20. I went home and installed it. It didn't take long. Happy to report there is still no issues.
Good idea with the lithium lube. I will keep that in mind if it ever happens again. Although I would likely just replace the seal again if the noise came up because it was pretty easy and I don't need to worry about it for a while.
Good luck with yours.

I just finished changing mine out, lube the outer flange. No more annoying noise.
