True story. LoD rack is 188 lbs. I guess I like the ease of loading and unloading by sliding the rack back rather than climbing all over a Jeep and struggling to get stuff on and off without damaging the Jeep. And you never know when you'd need access through the roof in the back.

I liked the Slimline a lot...and still do! I ended getting a Gobi rack off CL instead at the same price. Holds more weight, has the ladder, and is still a low profile rack.
