Shop around and find a kit that has all you need and can afford. Some parts you might be able to do without, but what are you giving up by not getting them? If you don't buy adjustable arms you will not have a means to correct your alignment up front and your rear coils will bow and maybe hit your rear trackbar. Without track bar relocation brackets or adjustable track bars your axles will be off center.

Just to use one brand as an example, with Teraflex you can build your own from parts and pieces. I bought a lift kit and then a front track bar and some adjustable control arms. You can also buy a complete suspension system that has all 8 arms, front and rear track bars and some other goodies. I bought the kit as asolution that was within my budget. Go explore their site as a start and then take a look at Full Traction and some others.

Don't forget you will need new wheels or spacers too.

If your not wheeling to much I would highly recommend a 2.5" this is the highest you can go before getting real expensive any higher you need drive shafts control arms and so on. Here is my Tf 2.5" coil lift with 37s.

Well, since you need to be spoon fed....

For trips out to the hunting spot you will definitely want the Teraflex LCG Prerunner kit. It has just about everything you need. You will be able to go like hell without worrying about them bumps.

Don't forget you can also gain an easy 1" with a body lift. I did a write up on how to reposition your rear bumper to avoid the gap in the rear. Cheap and easy to install. The JK hides a 1" BL very well.

Check out the Rusty's 3.25" kit. Gives around 4" of lift at a great price.

Yeah if ur not doing hardcore off roading 2.5" lift is good as it doesn't mess with drivetrain geometry and steering needs. Here is mine lifted 2.5".
