Default FT 2"BB project

I read some other post about the Full Traction 2" lift where people had some issues. Mine just came in and I will be putting it on tomorrow. Is anyone else running this with or without issues??

I don't. Just get your steering wheel straight when you are done.

Default issues with FT 2" BB lift

Okay, the lift went on smooth enough. I had some issues with the trac bar, but managed to get through them. Now, I am a little freaked out after the drive home. My "ESP" and "BAS" lights are on along with the little "slippery when wet" emblem, which I believe is the ESP also. Is this the part folks were talking about when they said to get the alignment done?? Please advise!!

Yes, from everything I have read in these forums, the alignment out is one thing that will cause the ESP to act up. I believe it is due to sensors being out of alignment since the wheels are going straight, and the steering is off, sounds like it is trying to compensate for this issue.

Thanks! I guess I will get an alignment job done when I take it to get the wheels and tires on Monday!! Hopefully, that is the only issue I will face with this lift!!

Yeah, I hope so also, I am going to be installing the ProComp spacer lift, but running factory wheels for a little while. I have lifted a lot of vehicles of my own and friends, but this is the first with ESP. Not sure how I feel about it yet. It would be nice to disable it completely (complete on/off switch), but from what the manual says, it is integrated into a few other drivetrain controls and only has a temporary disable each time you start your Jeep and that function has its pros/cons...

Edit: also take a look at this thread. https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/modified-jk-tech-2/33s-no-lift-esp-activating-5030/ There is also a recall on some Wranglers for an ESP issue fixed by a new program.

Interesting! I will have it aligned and see how it goes from there. If I need the flash, at least I will know what I am talking about now!

Those lights come on in my 2Dr about once a week, saty on 2-3 restart cycles, then turn off. I have no lift and stock Rubi tires.

I made the adjustment to the steering and the ESP/BAS lights went off. I didn't have any other issues after the change!
