Default FT Ultimate VS. RE 3.5 Super Flex

I will be buying my suspension system this weekend and am considering both the FT 3" Ultimate and the RE 3.5" Super Flex.

I am leaning toward the FT kit, but I'm not real sure why.

Which would you choose? Why?

Is one kit more complete than the other?

What shocks would you use?

I cant say much about RE as I have the full traction. I know Full Traction has a beefy product and stand behind what they make. I have heard some great customer service stories about them. Early on they had trouble getting product out the door to meet the demand, but so did everyone else. Including DC

From what I can tell from looking at the RE kit, it falls short in comparison in a couple of places. Only the upper control arms are adj, It only comes with a front track bar and looks like the rear track bar is mounted with a bracket. The FT comes with both front and rear adj track bars. I didn't see any sway bar links with the RE. FT has front and rear ones with the fronts being quick disconects. The RE does come with brake line extensions whera as the FT has brake line relocation brackets.

In my opinion the Full Traction is a more complete kit, and I am more than satisfied with mine They get my vote.

Again, I am not saying RE is a bad kit or product, I am only basing my opinion on what I have and what I see in their kit!

Here is mine at work!

Thanks for the information. That is exactly the type of information I was looking for.

Any one else?

I have heard great things about them both, and very few negatives. Price is almost the same without shocks. Both have great customer service based off of research both here and on other forums. I do not think you would go wrong with either kit. I am at war with myself trying to figure out which 3"-4" kit I want to purchase in a few months.

All else being equal then (price, service), I think my vote still goes FT just for the front and rear, adj track bars; no add-on brackets and the fact that both upper and lower control arms are adjustable also. Just my $.02.

I will have to agree with you on this one. I was comparing what you get with each kit, and the FT kits at all levels come with more for the money. I do however like that RE includes brake lines, and not brackets.

I have been wanting the RE 3.5 kit for a while. This thread has got me rethinking my choice. The FT kit seems to have more adjustability and features, but it is also slightly more expensive. I do not mind the brake line issue because I believe the ABS sensor lines are the limiting factor at this point. How do these lifts compare in ride quality and actual lift height? I am sure there are more FT owners due to the longer availability on their kits. Can we get some RE comments?

Thanks,
Tom

I'm debating the same two lifts as well but I've got a few months to decide since I just placed my order for my '08 Sahara unlimited yesterday (God I hope it's here by Christmas )!

What I'd like to know is what shocks paired with these lifts is going to give the better ride, the FT with M-Force, RE with their Bilstein monotubes or going with OME with either kit? I agree that the FT offers more but even adding the rear track bar to the RE it still comes out cheaper and I get the extra 1/2" which I like. However, if that 1/2" pushes me over the edge to having driveline problems down the road then I'd regret it so I'm going back forth on this decision.

I hope more people chime in on this one!
