Default Full Traction Long Arm Problem

I finally got the JK rollable after installing the FT LA kit and JE Reel HD drive shafts, but ran into a problem. After adjusting the pinion on the rear axle, the track bar bracket collides into the lower bump stop on the passenger side of the vehicle. Has anyone had this happen to them? I'm going to try to get a pic. But here are pics of the it so far (keep in mind that the crossmember & TC skid plate are not installed yet).

if you are refering to the track bar bolt, you need to reverse it. jeep looks outstanding btw

edit: i just re-read what you said more carefully. did you make sure to attach your bump stop extensions so that the lean was pointing forward? got any pics of it?

the bumpstop is "leaning" to the front. I'm gonna get some pics when I flex it after work.

I installed the 4" long arm. No problems in that area. I'm interested in seeing the pics.

since you have 2 door, your pinion angle must be steeper than mine (4dr). that's one possible explanation. what pinion angle did you set? did you align the pinion axis with the propshaft?

the angle was at 8 degrees, i didn't measure the angle of the garage floor. I did measure the angle of the driveshaft, then the pinion angle. After tweaking it, I made sure the pinion was about a degree more than the drive shaft. I'm not getting any vibes, and I have gotten it up to 65mph. Two more hours at work, and I'm leaving, then I'll take the pic.

here's the pic of the bracket and bumpstop hitting at a normal stance, zero flex. You can see the dents in the bumpstop just from driving to work and back today. I'm going to reverse the bolt, but it looks like it'd still hit the bumpstop, any other ideas?

um, I have the long arm on my two door and dont have any clearance issues. Granted its on the 3", so I dont have the drop down brackets..

I think it'll stop before it hits the bump stops if you flip the bolt. Btw get some grease in the joint.

I am sorry you are having problems. Start by flipping the bolt if that doesnt completely solve the problem you may need to shorten the arms a tad. Your rig looks great. Hang in there you almost have it.

I'm with Hanson on this one. Shorten your rear arms just enough to get the clearance you need.
