Default Full Traction rear bumpstop

Just installed the Full Traction 3 inch Ultimate lift. With passengers and camping gear this weekend I had the right rear bump stop hit the track bar bracket that is on the frame end when hitting bumps. Really not that much weight and not sagging the rear. Is this because the rear axle is too far back and the control arms need shortened to bring the axle forward? Anybody had this issue?

Thanks.

Bump.

I guess since no one gave a comment this has little interest or nobody has experienced it.

Thanks for the replies. It is only going to hit on one side because it is jitting the track bar mount and it is only on one side.
Notching the bump stop square tube was my first thought. But I wanted to be sure I shouldn't be looking past that and more to axle location front to back. I really do not want to move the axle forward because it will put the tires closer to the sliders and body pinch seam. I already cut 1.5 in off the sliders and rolled the pinch seam under as much as I could to add clearance there.

Your tire moves back as you flex so the pinch seam is not a problem with 35''s. Tour main concern should be you driveline pinion angle. Also, if not adjusted properly you track bar will rub the coil too!

I initially adjusted the control arms to the lengths given in the Project JK write up. I then readjusted to get the pinon inline with the drive line angle. I would need to move the axle at least 1/4 in foward to clear the back edge of the bumpstop, otherwise trimming the bumpstop would be the option. I have not noticed any other rubbing on the trackbar. The rear sway bar is really close to the metal brakelines where they are fastened on the outside of the frame.
Otherwise the lift has performed well on the trails in SW Colorado.

Thanks, I realize most of you have had these lifts on for quite awhile and have moved on past these install issues.
