I'm not sure why you need to hide it. I keep mine clipped on my visor. If I'm leaving the Jeep out and about with the top off I just drop it in the console.
Do you leave the keys to your house in there too? You've got the registration with your address in the glove box and the "key" to your house in the console. You clearly aren't home right because your Jeep is at Walmart. You've just given any crook all he needs to clean you out in 10 minutes or less. Even if you don't keep the registration in the Jeep (I don't), he can still figure out where you live. It just takes a little more work but it is still easier than getting an actual job.
You really think that stock lock is worth anything? Hell, even the Tuffy locks can be broken into, just takes a little more time.

It's sooooo easy to stuff it in the rollbar cover above the driver's seatbelt. Then you don't have to worry about moving it when the top is off.
