Holy Crap that sucks! I am picking up a pop up camper and plan on using it three times this year. I may have to drive 30mph to get mid teens on the gas ha!!

Kidding aside, these Jeeps really get terrible gas mileage. I wish Jeep came out with FSI direct injection technology. We all would see 3-4 mpg better out of em

So I did some testing the other day and hooked the loaded trailer up and drove around town and on the highway for some time....The results were surprising, but I'm thinking it might be a little deceptive.

Normally I would average 15 mpg. That includes highway and city driving pretty aggresively...something you can't do too much of in the JK.

So I reset the gauge and on the highway I was getting 18 plus and city I was getting 16.....averaging close to 17.......so UM....what? I did drive about 40 miles around. So to answer the original question I posted: How much will my mpg be affected towing a light trailer.....I'm thinking the answer is not much to really cause concern in terms of increased cost from increase gas consumption. Thanks for the help guys.

ALSO, it looks like I won't have to tow the ski all the way out to Utah....just halfway to Kansas City. Hopefully the sale goes through....Unless.....ANYONE want to buy a stand up jet ski?
